Supervision is used in counselling, psychotherapy, and other mental health professions as well as many other careers which involve working with people.
It involves the practitioner meeting regularly with another professional, who while not necessarily more senior has training in the skills of supervision to discuss casework and other professional issues in a controlled way.
The purpose of consistent and regular supervision is to support the practitioner in learning from his or her experience and progress in knowledge, as well as to safeguard good service to their clients.
I can now offer supervision on a one to one basis or for groups of up to four practitioners. Costs and timings will be decided together between the practitioner/s and myself.
